Ownership & beneficial owners
Walking up the shareholder chain to the people who ultimately own a company. Every company in the chain is a separate paid registry lookup, so nothing runs unasked: you open the walk from the case, set a budget and a threshold, and confirm.

This is the best answer, not the only one
The ownership fields are also answered by an org chart read on the case and by a research pass, and the Fields tab shows all three against each other. What is on this tab is the walk, the only one of the three that traverses anything, and the only one that costs per company.
See Ownership is a field set, not a tab.
The two rules the walk follows
Both are deliberately conservative, because following a branch that did not matter costs real money while not following one costs a chip on a canvas that you can click.
- The branch's effective stake in the subject is at or above your threshold. Effective means the product along the chain: subject → A at 50% → B at 30% puts B at 15%.
- That stake is actually stated. Registers list pledge holders, trustees and security agents beside shareholders and often record no percentage at all. An unstated stake is unknown, not small, so it stays flagged and expandable, but nobody's budget goes on a guess.
Everything the walk declines stays on the canvas with a price on it. Clicking Expand is your override: it ignores both rules, because that call belongs to you.
While it runs
By default the open page drives the walk: it watches for the step to land, asks for the next one, and repeats. There is no queue: closing the tab pauses the walk, reopening the case resumes it, because what to do next is worked out from what is stored rather than held in a browser.
If your deployment has the unattended walk switched on, the page stops dispatching and only watches. See Budget and threshold.
The beneficial owners table
Under the canvas: the individuals whose effective stake meets the threshold, and the chain each holds through.

Where a link in a chain records no percentage, the effective figure above it cannot be computed. The platform says so rather than printing a number it cannot defend, and the report says so too, in its control basis statement. That is a finding about the company, not a gap in the product.
Money
Prices are in euro throughout, with no conversion applied on the way to you: a quote you are shown is the quoted figure, unchanged.
