Ownership entered by hand
The walk needs a registry identifier, and a case entered by hand has none. So on a manual case the Ownership tab is an editor rather than a traversal: the same canvas, the same layout, the same effective-ownership arithmetic, the same beneficial-owner rule.
Nothing on that tab is charged.

Every card grows an Add holder pill and, unless it is the subject, buttons to correct or remove it.
Adding a holder

Whether a holder is a person is asked, never guessed silently. Beneficial ownership only ever qualifies an individual, so a person filed as a company would drop out of the beneficial owners table with nobody being told.
Three things it refuses to invent
- A stake nobody stated stays unstated, and is drawn as a thin related, stake not stated link rather than as zero. One unstated hop makes everything above it unknown, which is the honest answer.
- A holder nobody could place stays unplaced, which is the shape a transparency register prints when it names the person and none of the vehicles. It is drawn apart from the tree rather than attached to the subject on a guess, and it keeps the effective figure the register stated.
- Ownership cannot be made to run in a circle. The holds shares in select leaves out anything already held through the entity being edited, because a loop has nobody at the top of it.
The subject is not in the list
It is the case. Its name comes from the company record, holders point at it, and so it cannot be deleted or drift from the company's own legal name.
Removing an entity
Takes everything held through it, and the dialog names them first, because a holder left behind would be holding shares in nothing.
Starting from a prescreening
If a prescreening has been run on the case, its shareholder list is offered as the first draft of the structure. That answer is already paid for, and the alternative on a company with no register is retyping it, which mostly means not doing it.

A second import adds nothing twice, and the offer disappears when there is nothing left to take.
When there is no structure and no prescreening, the empty tab says so and offers to run one, which is the cheapest way out of an empty tab.
Every edit is recorded
Each act writes the whole structure, and the trail diffs it, so the case's activity reads
Acme Holding S.p.A. (60%, of the company) → Acme Holding S.p.A. (55%, of the company)
rather than "the ownership was edited".
